Description

KOLBJÖRN Cabinet in/outdoor – beige 80×81 cm. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The cabinet is durable, easy to clean and protected from rust since it is made of powder-coated galvanised steel. Also stands steady on an uneven floor since the feet can be adjusted.

This unit is stylish, spacious and has a low profile which is especially good in a galley style kitchen. The space inside is generous and the magnetic doors give peace of mine to ensure the cabinet is closed at all times – if it weren’t for the magnet the doors would have a tendency to move around and open. The adjustable feet are also a bonus if you are living in a poorly fabricated London flat (me) and the floors are uneven. Now for the build – It was an easy build and arrived in rather modest boxes that are easy to move, the parts were neatly organised. My only complaint is the screw that attaches the small magnets onto the inside of the door panels, it took quite a lot of force to get them to bite and screw into the hole provided, despite having rounded out the cross head on the screw I was able to get it in eventually. Overall, good design and fits the purpose, easy build minus the magnet screw. Mine was missing one door hinge, but I just improvised and used one of the Allen keys

The reviews about difficult assembly and wonky doors are right – instructions are vague and panels are not easy to decipher which is which.
The doors are held on with alan keys (WHY?) the doors fall of at every opportunity. Said doors are also very obviously wonky and designed horrifically. The units in the store i took photos of had the same flaw as do so many reviews – I contact CS to try and get this issue looked at and they said it was a ‘assembly issue’ He was very rude and ignorant as the assembly of the door is literally an alan key in a hole. He couldn’t explain to me how to adjust it or what i needed to adjust 🙂

Metal cabinet – only bought a few weeks ago so it’s not done a winter outside yet but it looks tidy and seems water tight (with the exception of a tiny bit of water egress at the front from time to time). It’s not completely solid but was good value

I wish it was clear that this is not waterproof. I purchased 2 for the garden and they are in a sheltered spot but still get quite a lot of water in them. They look great and the adjustable feet are really helpful. Construction is interesting as some pictures are hard to interpret.

This is a really good cabinet setup. I did purchase with the upper shelving attachment and it was all pretty easy to assemble – with the exception of some minor damage on two areas that required a little extra attention to get the fit right. It’s not even visible once assembled but is the reason for one less star.
I’m using for storage in my studio flat. Holds a ton and looks nice in the space. Overall happy with the purchase and definitely recommend.
