The veneer was peeling and damaged in places. Not enough to bother sending it back but the quality was disappointing. I last bought one of these bookcases 10 years ago and standards have definitely slipped in that time. Also it was covered in dust from the plywood which was unpleasant. Definitely puts me off buying ikea again.
